Best Friends Dog Club (BFDC) of Sun City celebrates our love of dogs with pet-friendly activities, training opportunities and shared friendships. We provide a supportive community for members to learn, socialize and participate in events with their dogs. We promote responsible dog ownership and help you to nurture a stronger bond with your dog. In essence, BFDC is a community hub where passion for dogs translates into shared learning, enjoyable activities and a collective commitment to the well-being of our canine companions.

The club offers an extensive program of dog (and people) training classes, from the most basic to advanced obedience, tricks, agility, rally, scent work, select behavioral classes and more. Our classes are held under the beautiful shaded training yard at Fairway Recreation Center. We are proud of our outstanding trainers, who teach with love, patience and TREATS!

We also have monitored practice sessions that offer socialization for both the dogs and their owners, as well as the space and time to practice the skills that you are learning in your classes.

Our Social Activities Include:

Dog walks at local community parks, where we enjoy fresh air, friendly chats, and happy tails.

Game nights featuring fun activities for both people and pups.

Group dining outings at pet-friendly restaurants where we share great food, drinks, laughter, and plenty of tail wags.

Seasonal celebrations throughout the year, including festive Valentines Day, Halloween, Christmas parties, and our annual “Bark in the Park” picnic — a favorite event for both two- and four-legged friends!

If you are an RCSC member, you are eligible to join the Best Friends Dog Club. Membership in the Club is $10.00 per person per year and the club is open to all valid RCSC Cardholders. See JOIN OUR CLUB to find out how to join. We meet in the Arizona Room at Fairway Recreation Center from October through April (people only), typically on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 1 PM. We have a short social time with refreshments followed by the meeting starting at 1:30 where we exchange ideas and information and often have a special guest speaker. See UPCOMING EVENTS for the date and time of our next meeting.

Registration for training classes is required and there is an extra cost involved for the classes. See our TRAINING section for more about our classes. Dogs must have current proof of rabies vaccination to take part in our classes, any club activities or events.
