Dog agility is a sport in which a dog moves through an obstacle course with the guidance of his or her handler. Dogs run off leash, so the handler’s only controls are voice and body language, requiring exceptional obedience training of the animal. In competition, both accuracy and speed are important.
BEGINNING AGILITY:
Your dog must know sit, stay, come and down. A regular 4’ to 6’ leash is required (no retractable leashes). Please bring moist or cut-up treats ready to use (wear pants with pockets or have a treat bag or apron).

INTERMEDIATE AGILITY:
Intermediate agility builds on the foundation of skills learned in the beginning agility class.
Your dog must know sit, stay, come and down and have completed Beginning Agility. A regular 4’ to 6’ leash is required (no retractable leashes). Please bring moist or cut-up treats ready to use (wear pants with pockets or have a treat bag or apron).

ADVANCED AGILITY:
Advanced agility is for the seasoned agility student and dog. Teams will work challenging, fun drill-type sequences while learning the art of turns, wraps, sends, back side jumps, go arounds, flips, front, blind and rear crosses, start line stays and independent weaves. Distance handling (so we seniors don’t have to run so much) will be introduced, as well as the most efficient way to get to and from each obstacle.
