My name is Mary Price, the owner of MP Dog Training Academy. I have ten years of dog training experience in puppy training, dog obedience, behavior modification, and introduction to agility and rally. In my journey to become a certified dog trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT),

I have taken a variety of classes to reinforce and build upon my skills to resolve unwanted behaviors, teach obedience, and dog sports to help dog owners develop a better connection with their dog to enrich their lives. As a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT), I am committed to becoming a better trainer through continued education as I strive to continually improve my experience and qualifications.

With a tireless dedication to educating dog owners to discover the benefits of basic obedience training, I am paving the way for the owner and dog to build a working relationship that helps them learn new activities or sports as they move from basic obedience to sporting activities.

I started loving dogs as a kid, but my dog adventure began over 30 years ago. I began competing and teaching formal obedience. I was very successful with my dogs, earning multiple titles, but then dog agility came to dog sports, and I was hooked!
I’ve been competing & teaching agility for over 25 years. I’ve been with Contact Zonies Dog Agility Club as a founding member and teacher for 25 years. I have trained several of my dogs to multiple titles and continue to compete at advanced levels. I continue to train hundreds of dogs at Zonies Agility Club. I just love how the new dogs and owners learn to work as a team and go on to become successful in mastering all the agility obstacles.
I’ve also been successfully competing in Rally-O with my dogs for over five years with multiple titles. I started teaching rally last year. Rally-O is a more relaxed and fun form of obedience. I thoroughly enjoy working with and having fun with people who enjoy challenges and having fun with their dogs!

My journey with dogs began 25 years ago with my first German Shepherd, "Chance." I immersed myself in learning from various trainers, specializing in working line, high-drive dogs.
Chance grew into a confident, well-behaved dog, which led others to seek my help with their dogs. Over time, I developed a training style focused on building confidence, self-control, discipline, and accountability. My approach helps redefine the relationship between you and your dog, encouraging them to look to you for leadership and choose to do the right thing.
I use marker training to create clarity, ensuring your dog knows when they're making the right choices and addressing mistakes calmly and fairly. I focus on teaching the human, so you gain the skills to apply them with future dogs as well.
My basic obedience techniques are designed to be quickly and easily learned by all dog owners, helping to prevent behavioral issues before they arise. In my private practice, I have extensive experience with behavior modification, including leash reactivity, resource guarding, and aggression toward dogs and humans.

My name is Sheena Mynatt. My career started at PetSmart 20 years ago, where I became an accredited dog trainer. I moved on from there to doing private lessons in clients’ homes. I am passionate about educating people about dogs so that they may have a rewarding relationship with their dog.
I have trained 2 of my own service dogs. I have worked with people with special needs to help them train their own service dog. I love to compete in trick contests and have won numerous prizes. I was a Papillon breeder for a while, which allowed me to learn a lot about puppy development.
I believe that socialization is a fundamental part of dog training. I use positive reinforcement and lure-reward based training methods.

I have had a life-long love of all animals. During my younger years I rode and trained hunters and jumpers.
During a trip to Germany in the mid-80’s, I fell madly in love with the sport of Schutzhund after seeing a demonstration by the local police. I spent several years dedicated to Schutzhund achieving performance titles and deep respect for the German Shepherd Dog.
When I retired from the corporate world in 1998, I decided to join the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and became a certified dog trainer. After many hours of study, practical work and a written exam that still makes my hair stand on end I was awarded certification…one of only 400 trainers in the U.S. That led me to opening my own training facility in Colorado wherein I held many classes for our local population. My goal was to spread the word of gentler and more efficient dog training.
I have continued to attend training seminars with a focus on agility. I have been fortunate to have some outstanding dogs one of which is an ongoing project and one who achieved four Championships in the sport of agility and was in the top ten performance dogs in American Kennel Club for several years.
