Whether you just train or decide to compete, Rally develops better teamwork between you and your dog. Just as importantly, it will sharpen your dog’s obedience skills and behavior – at home and in public.
Rally is all about teamwork. You and your dog navigate a course together, side-by-side, at your own brisk pace. You move through a course with signs where he performs different exercises. The courses are designed (10-20 signs per course, depending on the class level) and include various turns and commands such as sit, down, stay, etc.
When you attend a class with your dog, instructors will show you how to train your dog and will expect you to practice at home. The younger the dog, the shorter the practice sessions should be. For the best results, both you and your dog should enjoy frequent short sessions, combined with some play and rewards.
RALLY CLASSES
Beginning Rally
Introduce your dog to the exciting world of Rally Obedience! This class focuses on teaching you and your dog the basics of Rally, including how to navigate simple courses, follow commands, and build strong communication. Perfect for teams new to Rally or those looking to sharpen obedience skills in a fun, encouraging environment. Prerequisite: Completion of Manners 1.
Intermediate Rally Take your Rally skills to the next level! This class builds on the foundation of Beginning Rally, introducing more challenging courses and complex signs. You’ll work on improving precision, timing, and teamwork as you and your dog tackle intermediate-level exercises with confidence. Prerequisite: Completion of Beginning Rally.
Advanced Rally
Ready for a challenge? Advanced Rally is designed for experienced teams looking to master high-level Rally exercises. You’ll focus on perfecting performance, handling offleash work, and refining the intricate details of Advanced and Excellent level signs. Prepare for success in competition or enjoy the thrill of achieving peak teamwork with your dog! Prerequisite: Completion of Intermediate Rally.
